Ingredients
- 2 pounds of fresh chicken wings, washed and trimmed, separated
- Salt and crushed peppercorns
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter
- ½ cup of raw honey
- Toasted sesame seeds, for serving
For the Marinade
- 1 cup of light soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon poultry
- 1-inch piece of fresh ginger root, grated
- 2 tablespoons of minced cilantro
- 1 teaspoon of minced garlic
- 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice
Instructions
- Combine together all marinade ingredients in a mixing bowl and add the chicken. Toss to evenly coat the chicken with marinade mixture and chill for at least 2 hours in the fridge.
- Remove chicken from marinade mixture, transfer on a separate bowl and season to taste with salt and pepper. Pour in the honey and toss to coat evenly on all sides. Set aside.
- Add the butter in a pan with olive oil and apply medium-high heat. When the oil and butter mixture is hot, add the chicken and cook for about 5 minutes on each side or until nicely browned. Turn to cook the other side for about 4 to 5 minutes and baste with glaze regularly while cooking the wings.
- Cook until the chicken is thoroughly cooked and sticky. Transfer to a serving platter and serve warm with toasted sesame seeds on top.
